Lee got into an accident while driving a bus for work.
Lee suffered severe fractures of his tibia and fibula on right side involving the ankle; multiple lacerations on left.
Paradigm assigned case manager Diane Kenny, RN, BA, CCM to Lee’s case, and she scheduled him for an open reduction internal fixation (ORIF) on the right side and treatment to repair the wounds on his left. Although Lee had no internal injuries, Diane recommended the medical team check his heart as liver enzymes rise in these types of injuries.
Lee is presently undergoing multiple surgeries to save the right leg, with decompression, stabilization and grafting being done in stages.
He’s started physical therapy to restore function, and the ankle screw will be removed to allow more movement.
