A female worker was on the job when she slipped off of a scaffold ladder. She tried to grab the top rung, but missed and fell into the theater seats below, twisting her right knee.
Paradigm received the referral as a RUSH request, and our care coordinator secured an appointment for the worker that very same day. But because there was no MRI, the orthopedic provider couldn’t offer an appointment until a week later.
In the hopes of speeding up the appointment timeline, our care coordinator contacted the adjuster to see if we could get an MRI. The adjuster sent the MRI to us the next day, which we in turn immediately sent to the provider, allowing us to get the injured worker in to the provider’s office two days earlier than originally scheduled.
