2024 Catastrophic Clinical Summit Recap

Catastrophic Clinical Summit 2024

Paradigm was excited to welcome team members back together for a successful 2024 Catastrophic Clinical Summit—and the highest attendance ever seen for the event. This year’s gathering took place September 20–22 in Chicago, Illinois, and featured an agenda packed with engaging workshops, continuing education opportunities, inspiring case studies, and enriching team-building activities. The 2024 theme focused on how Paradigm delivers unmatched outcomes through whole-person care, clinical expertise, and state-of-the-art advances in health technology.

As Paradigm’s premier educational event, the Catastrophic Clinical Summit is fundamental to the training commitment necessary to meet the substantial care demands of seriously injured workers. Paradigm Management Team members benefit from access to injury-specific catastrophic continuing education courses, both throughout the year and at this dedicated training event. By staying up to date on best practices, trends, and philosophies across the healthcare and workers’ compensation spaces, Paradigm can consistently achieve the best possible outcomes for the clients and injured patients we serve.

Summit highlights
The three-day summit took place at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park, where attendees were a short distance from signature destinations, including the Art Institute of Chicago, Grant Park, and The Magnificent Mile. Before the event, attendees had an exciting opportunity to tour Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, getting a firsthand look at the life-restoring care injured patients receive from this key Paradigm Value-Based Partner.

This year, Paradigm welcomed more than 450 attendees, including sponsors, partners, and speakers. Team members in attendance included the Clinical Resource Operations team, Directors of Clinical Solutions, Paradigm Medical Directors, Network Managers, Clinical Specialists, Community Support Specialists, the Go-to-Market team, and select Executive Leaders. The Summit started off with keynote speaker, world-renowned adventurer, and Iditarod competitor Blair Braverman, who shared secrets of high-performing teams and leaders. Other summit sessions included:

  • Changing Gears—Restorative to Maintenance Therapy Transition
  • Ethical Scenarios: An Interactive Discussion
  • The Power of a Hero—A Panel Discussion featuring Paradigm HERO Alexander Borges
  • What’s the Future of Rehabilitation Going to Look Like for SCI and TBI?
