Finishing Strong in a Challenging Year

In a year in which we all faced unforeseen challenges and unprecedented obstacles, the Paradigm team achieved significant accomplishments in 2020. Facing a global pandemic that affected nearly every aspect of our mission to support catastrophically injured workers, our organization came together, worked hard, and showed the resilience that can now help us put our strongest foot forward in 2021.

We are extremely thankful to all of our employees, clients, and partners for the support that allowed us to keep our focus on injured workers and families when they needed us the most.

As we quickly transitioned to working offsite, having virtual meetings with clients and partners, and making work sites safe for essential workers, it might have been hard to feel like we were moving forward. But in hindsight, 2020 proved to be a year when our many achievements strengthened our business so we could better serve our clients, partners, and injured workers. Here are just a few of the high points:

  • Paradigm released an independent study proving that our implant cost containment platform, Fusion by Paradigm℠, reduces implant costs by 25 percentage points more than other industry offerings.
  • For our catastrophic outcome plans, Paradigm also released a study by an industry-leading actuarial firm that once again confirmed our superior outcomes. Key findings include lifetime medical savings of 32% and a nearly six-times higher return to work rate, compared to industry benchmarks.
  • We also launched the award-winning Paradigm Contagion Care solution for COVID-19. This one-of-a-kind program provides unparalleled care for unprecedented times.
  • Our case management teams quickly adapted to the pandemic by launching a COVID-19 triage solution and enhancing our virtual capabilities to continue providing unparalleled care for those with complex injuries.

Paradigm’s strength and resilience have positioned us to build on these achievements in 2021 and move forward to what we hope will be our best year yet.
