A work-related injury can be hard on the whole family. When the injury is catastrophic or even fatal it can change lives indefinitely. For families confronting a decline in income because a parent is unable to return to work or return full time, college can seem out of reach. Kids’ Chance of America’s Planning for College Initiative is one way you can help these children continue their education.

How Does Kids’ Chance of America Help?

Kids’ Chance is a nonprofit organization that provides scholarships to children of workers who were seriously injured or killed on the job. The Planning for College Initiative is designed to help the organization find future college students of injured or deceased workers and invite them to apply for grants so they can reach their long-term educational goals.

Kids’ Chance provides industry professionals who spend time communicating with seriously injured workers and their families the tools to introduce even young children impacted by work-related injuries and fatalities. Anyone is invited to use a dedicated website and printed reply card to refer future scholarship applicants.

Once Kids’ Chance of America is aware of these children, the organization will reach out to the families and maintain connection over the years. When it’s time to plan for college, they’ll know Kids’ Chance scholarships are there.

Make a Difference, Refer a Student
