Looking Back on Our Celebration of 25 Years

On May 29, 1991, Paradigm Outcomes began as a simple yet innovative idea of Nathan Cope, MD. Over the past 25 years, Paradigm has grown to nearly 200 employees while managing more than 15,000 catastrophic and complex injury cases. During that time, we have consistently delivered five times better return-to-work results and reduced lifetime costs by 40%.

We celebrated Paradigm’s 25th anniversary this year with employee interviews, social media campaigns and special events. Here’s a look back at the fun before we turn our attention to the next 25 years.

25 Faces of Paradigm

Some of our team members took a moment to reflect on the company’s growth and what our mission means to them in our 25 Faces of Paradigm video series. Some have seen our impact first-hand, but all cherish the opportunity, in one way or another, to improve the lives of injured workers and their families. Whether they have been with the company from the very beginning or joined more recently, everyone understands that privilege and responsibility.

Flat Nathan

One way Paradigm recognized the achievement of co-founder Nathan Cope, MD, was to send Flat Nathan out into the world for the entire year with employees and friends. Flat Nathan went hiking, bowling and golfing. He cheered on the Golden State Warriors and traveled from Pennsylvania to Jamaica and San Francisco to New Orleans. He even made new friends at the famous Cheers bar in Boston!

Employee Memories

Team members shared photos of the many memories made throughout the company’s 25 years. This history of camaraderie is an essential part of Paradigm’s culture. The annual Halloween festivities featured in many of the pictures are just one example of our sustaining traditions. Regardless of how fashion trends and technology change over the years, our mission remains the same – to make a lasting impact on the lives of injured workers and their families.

25 Days of Paradigm

The year-long celebration concluded this month with the 25 days of Paradigm, highlighting where we came from, what we’re doing and where we’re headed as a company and industry. Posts on social media included a look back at the past with Dr. Cope, a day in the life of a Paradigm Hero, and a blog on the future of workers’ compensation news.

We hope you’ve enjoyed the 25th-anniversary festivities and the glimpse into life at Paradigm. Continue to visit us at paradigmcorp.com and follow us on LinkedInTwitter, and Facebook.
