National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference & Expo 2016

The National Workers’ Compensation and Disability Conference & Expo 2016 kicks off next week in New Orleans and, once again, Paradigm Outcomes will be a part of this leading industry event. In addition to our annual wine reception, we are excited to host three live Paradigm University sessions in booth 619. Register now and get the latest information on opioids, concussions and future medical advances.

RSVP for Paradigm University

Wednesday, November 30, 10:15-10:45 am

Opioids play a significant role in severe acute workers’ compensation claims and many problems can arise from long-term use. Two pain management specialists, senior medical director Steven Moskowitz, MD, and Midwest Employers Casualty Company medical director Fernando Branco, MD, will offer recommendations for effective opioid detoxification. They will discuss who qualifies, what successful treatment looks like and how to achieve desired outcomes.

Wednesday, November 30, 1:45-2:15 pm

Concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries can often be challenging to identify and understand. In the second session, medical director Nancy Mann, MD, will discuss why the severity of these injuries can often be missed without the right approach, resulting in preventable complications, suffering and costs. Dr. Mann will review how to assess, understand, treat and manage these complex diagnoses.

Thursday, December 1, 10-10:30 am

The final session will feature Michael Choo, MD, chief medical officer, who will discuss new developments in medical technology that have contributed to much excitement and hope for better outcomes in catastrophic workers’ compensation claims. Preview innovations that will transform recovery and healing in the near future. Brain biomarkers and advances in burn care are just some of the topics Dr. Choo will explore.

Guests are encouraged to register for any or all of the Paradigm University sessions. Question and answer sessions will follow where you can speak directly with the medical experts.

Connect at the Wine Tasting

In addition to Paradigm University, Paradigm Outcomes will host a wine tasting inside the exhibit hall at booth 619 on Wednesday, November 30, from 3:45 to 5 pm. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine in the company of colleagues, friends and the Paradigm team.
