Paradigm Celebrates
Kids’ Chance Awareness Week 2021

This year, Kids’ Chance Awareness Week is November 8–12. Over the last seven years, this national initiative has increased visibility for the Kids’ Chance of America organization and their mission to help children of seriously injured workers pursue their educational dreams without financial burden. Collectively, since its inception in 1988, Kids’ Chance has awarded over 8,700 scholarships across the country, totaling over $30 million.

Paradigm and Kids’ Chance — Over 10 years making a difference
Kids’ Chance is Paradigm’s core philanthropic partnership, and we are proud to be in our second decade of supporting such a great cause. During our long-standing partnership, Paradigm has contributed more than $1.2 million to the organization.

The Paradigm Kids’ Chance Community Team is actively engaged in supporting Kids’ Chance by organizing and attending fundraisers throughout the year and attending state and national meetings to drive the mission forward.

Kevin Turner, Paradigm’s Chief Clinical Solutions Officer, a current Executive Board Member and past President from 2018-2020 for Kids’ Chance of America, stated, “I am honored to lead the Paradigm Kids’ Chance Community Team. This core group of 20 individuals is at the heart of Paradigm’s partnership with Kids’ Chance. They provide leadership at both the national and state levels—currently representing 13 states across the U.S.”

Kids’ Chance is truly changing lives
Veyli is one of the thousands of recipients of Kids’ Chance scholarships and a great example of the positive impact this organization continues to have. “After my father passed away in 2018, my family experienced emotional and financial burdens. One of the concerns that arose was how I was going to continue paying my college tuition,” she explains on her testimonial page. “With the Kids’ Chance scholarship, I was able to complete my Bachelor of Science; and I will be graduating with my Master of Arts in May 2021. Without the scholarship, I would not have the ability to continue my education.”

After graduating with her master’s degree, Veyli plans to continue to pursue a PhD in Sociology or Criminology, with a focus on Latino and immigrant communities. Her goal is to eventually become a college professor. You can read more inspiring stories like Veyli’s on the Kids’ Chance Meet Our Kids page.
