Paradigm Medical Directors to Present at RIMS 2015

Paradigm Outcomes is proud to have two experts selected to present at RIMS 2015, the largest educational event for risk professionals. The annual conference and exhibition takes place in New Orleans this year, April 26-29, and will attract more than 9,500 attendees, including senior executives, risk managers and other industry decision-makers. Join RIMS and Paradigm clinicians for these two sessions during three days of learning, networking and collaboration.

Paradigm Presentations

Paradigm Medical Directors will share their experience on two hot topics—medical marijuana and opioids. First, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist Hassan Moinzadeh, MD, PhD, will co-host Medical Marijuana: Facts, Myths and Controversieswith Linda Maw, Director of Workers’ Compensation Claims at TrueBlue, Inc. They will present an objective look at marijuana’s physiological effects, medical applications, legal considerations and impact on workers’ compensation. This session (TLT004) will take place in the Thought Leader Theater at the RIMS booth #1021 at 12 pm on Monday, April 27.

Later, Senior Medical Director Steven Moskowitz, MD, will partner with Dave Smith, Family Dollar Stores’ Divisional Vice President of Risk Management, to present It’s Not Just Opioids: Are You Winning the Battle but Losing the War?Together they will explore the range of costs associated with legacy chronic pain claims and review approaches that help injured workers return to work and a full life. Attendees will learn to identify and clarify problem cases early, as well as how to implement effective solutions to improve outcomes and reduce spending. The session (CLM011) starts on Wednesday, April 29, at 10:15 am and runs for one hour. The room location will be announced onsite.
