The RIMS 2015 Annual Conference is upon us, and once again the exhibit hall and classrooms will be full of learning opportunities. Two of Paradigm Outcomes’ Medical Directors are featured speakers at the event and will be sharing their expertise and best practices on chronic pain and medical marijuana. Medical Marijuana: Facts, Myths and Controversies

Dr. Hassan Morinzadeh, Paradigm Outcomes Medical Director, will be discussing the differences between what is fact and what is fiction with regard to medical marijuana, including some of the controversies related to state vs. federal law, interfacing with injured workers, and workplace drug screening. Tactical application and current challenges will be examined as well.

It’s Not Just Opioids: Are You Winning the Battle but Losing the War?

In this RIMS 2015 session, Dr. Steven Moskowitz, Senior Medical Director for Paradigm Outcomes will discuss legacy chronic pain claims and the surprising data showing that the bulk of costs go beyond opioids or even pharmacy. Dr. Moskowitz will recommend approaches to identify, clarify and course-correct these costly claims and help return injured workers to full employment and life.
