Shirley Ryan AbilityLab Enters Into Value-Based Workers’ Comp Partnership

Shirley Ryan AbilityLab is partnering with Paradigm Specialty Networks, a California-based workers compensation care management company.

The Streeterville rehabilitation research hospital will provide clinical data to the value-based care provider, with the goal of anticipating “patients’ recovery trajectories” in order to “provide greater transparency to the total long-term costs associated with care at the onset of treatment,” according to a statement.

“This program marks an inflection point in the workers’ compensation industry,” said Peggy Kirk, Chief Operating Officer of Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, in a statement. “We are so pleased to partner with Paradigm on this novel initiative, and to help transform the lives of workers with catastrophic injuries so they can return home and, ideally, to work.”
