Paradigm Management Services Hires Tom Mastri as New Chief Financial Officer

CONCORD, CA – October 20, 2009 – Paradigm Management Services, the nation’s leading provider of catastrophic medical management services, today introduced Tom Mastri as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President.  Mastri will plan and manage the company’s financial affairs and growth strategies, and report to Kevin Fleming, Paradigm’s President.

A respected healthcare and workers’ compensation industry veteran, Mastri has acquired a range of skills developing financial policy, implementing compliance measures and leading strategic initiatives.  After beginning his career at Ernst & Young, Mastri spent many years with First Health.  Following Coventry Health Care’s acquisition of that company, he rose to the position of Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and Vice President.  Since 2006, he has led the expansion of two software companies, Achievo Corporation and Initiate Systems, Inc.

“Tom’s experience working closely with boards of directors, private equity firms, public accountants and investment bankers makes him a great fit for Paradigm,” said Fleming.  “We’re excited to have him in this multi-faceted role with responsibilities ranging from financial performance to diversifying the company’s risk and service offerings to enhancing enterprise value.”

Mastri will interact with the business on many levels to oversee financial planning and analysis, accounting, risk management and tax.  He begins work immediately.

“I’ve helped companies like Paradigm excel before,” said Mastri.  “What makes this opportunity so exciting are the market leading services and exceptional people already in place.  I firmly believe in our growth potential.”
