While medical professionals have become increasingly adept at treating severe burns, the survival of more extensive burns has created unprecedented challenges in recovery and rehabilitation. In addition, the scarcity of experienced burn surgeons in the United States has put the pressure on telemedicine to provide expertise from afar.
This webinar poses two important questions: what does best-practice burn care look like right now, and where will it be in the next ten years? Leading the discussion is Jeffrey Saffle, MD, past president of the American Burn Association and past director of the Department of Telemedicine at the University of Utah Health Center, who joins us to share more than three decades of expertise on the evolution of burn care.
