From Catastrophic Injury Through Recovery: What Treating the Whole Person Really Means

Steven Moskowitz, MD, Senior Paradigm Medical Director
Hassan Moinzadeh, MD, PhD, Paradigm Medical Director

Webinar Description

One of the most challenging parts of treating a catastrophic injury is helping injured workers adjust to major physical and emotional changes. How can they overcome the trauma, continue to be productive, and integrate back into their family and community to lead a full life?

Psychosocial services focus on the ongoing emotional and social needs of an injured worker and their family. In addressing a person’s environmental, spiritual, and emotional needs, one size does not fit all. Psychosocial support can include family counseling, PTSD therapy, education, life coaching, biofeedback, and motor imagery, as well as complimentary treatments like acupuncture, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and aquatic therapy, to name a few.

Join Steven Moskowitz, MD, Senior Medical Director for Paradigm Catastrophic Care Management; and Hassan Moinzadeh, MD, PhD, Medical Director for Paradigm Catastrophic Care Management; as they discuss how to design a treatment plan to meet particular challenges that can delay physical and emotional recovery.
