Post-Concussion Syndrome: Examining a Controversial Diagnosis

Elizabeth Sandel, MD, Paradigm Medical Director
Steven Moskowitz, MD, Paradigm Senior Medical Director

Webinar Description

Many people experience symptoms long after a concussion. Up to 50% of patients in one study reported symptoms three months after a concussion, and 10–15% still experienced symptoms after a year.

Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS) includes behavioral, cognitive, physical and emotional symptoms. Headaches, poor memory, fatigue and irritability are common and usually associated with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).

Should PCS be considered a separate condition? What distinguishes it from a concussion? What steps can be taken immediately after a concussion to ensure warning signs are noticed? What tests and actions result in best outcomes? Learn more about the questions and answers with Elizabeth Sandel, MD, Medical Director for Paradigm Outcomes, and Steven Moskowitz, MD, Senior Medical Director for Paradigm Outcomes.
